Lumber used by the Muskoka Furniture Mennonite builders is harvested from carefully managed forests (no clear cutting) and the small company that finishes the raw furniture does so with the most stringent environmentally responsible stains and lacquers as dictated by government regulations. Also, this product is handcrafted right here in the province and comes with zero packaging (we blanket everything), as opposed to imported furniture that requires an immense amount of packaging to survive the many hands of transport workers and the long 'carbon foot print' ride across the oceans and continents by boat, truck, rail and fork lift. We keep everything simple and local.
